Whew. I just finished working on a super-exiting and super-cool project on behalf of CPP Studios Event GmbH which introduces a new service offered by Bilfinger Berger. The exhibit can be gazed at in Munich from Tuesday 4th to Thursday 6th October on EXPO REAL (Hall B1/Booth 220). I hope to be able to post official pictures or videos of the "interactive table" as soon as possible. Below you'll find a video which more or less shows the visual style we used in our application. (BTW: We chose Unity for the visualization.) |

Meet our first character as our iOS game is progressing... |
Thursday, August 19, 2010
Well, it's official now: We are currently working on Star Trek: Infinite Space, a browser based massively multiplayer online game which, among other things, will feature action-paced 3D space battles. The game is being developed with Unity by keen games and is produced by Gameforge. Release date? Probably somewhere in the summer of 2011. |

So, I'm done with all the paperwork. Now what? |
Wednesday, July 29, 2009 Finally, a G-Force review of our game. 7.4 out of 10. NICE! Craig Harris wrote: "...a favorite is the vacuum cleaner, which can be used to suck up Darwin and then used to catapult him over obstacles like a wall of lasers that prevent access to the next part of the game.". LOL! This teeny tiny element (sucking Darwin in and catapulting him through levels) really was a friggin' hassle!
|
Friday, July 24, 2009 Our game's not really out yet but gameplay videos of the first couple of levels are already available on YouTube (see video of Mission 2.4 below). More videos of the PSP version of the game can be found here. Unfortunately no one can be told how good the game is, you have to PLAY it for yourself! |
Saturday, July 18, 2009 Well, long time no updates. It was quite a busy year so far. I spent most of the past year working on enemy behavior and gameplay elements for Disney's video game G-Force for the platforms Playstation Portable and What-the-heck-happened-to-my-floating-point-numbers-Nintendo DS. The development team was terrific and I had an awesome time in our small but cosy room at keen games which always smelled of Pizza, Thai food or something in-between. Now all the hardcore coding and exhausting crunching is over and the game is about to hit the stores. Hurray!

Monday, August 18, 2008 I got keenified today and started working as an AI and Gameplay Programmer on an undisclosed project at keen games.

Tuesday, April 1, 2008 Elly is taking a break in between C++ coding sessions at CST. I guess working on Tetrahedral Meshing can get quite tiresome at some point of the day...

Tuesday, February 26, 2008 Our flatmate Elly hurt her right hind leg a few days ago. Or her right hind knee to be exact. Cruciate knee ligament rupture. Ouch! So she got surgery today. According to her permanent growling noises and the look on her hairy face she's REALLY suffering. Poor little thing!
